Featuring a dynamic image of Nightcrawler escaping from the frightened townspeople, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the titular character's back story episode, titled "Nightcrawler," which aired on May 13, 1995. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 4.25"x5", the cel is in very good condition with minor line wear.
